Hey, all, the Glossary for Book 1 has been added to Wattpad.

And here's a sneak peek of Chapter 5: A Dangerous Proposition. Enjoy!

Naya – Sometime Earlier
How many more times must I apologize, Shelly? I struggled to maintain my neutral expression. I have done so a dozen times already—and it was not even my fault in the first place!
My young Earthan friend mentally growled at me: He’s your husband. I expect you to contain him. Haughtiness dripped from each word of her retort.
You’re sure? Arianna distracted me. You’re sure this is the best way to keep her safe from Him?
I nodded. Arianna, I give you my solemn word, the Academy is now the safest place for her. Earth is no longer secure.
I’m trusting you with my daughter’s life, Naëtera, she warned. I know that eventually she must face Him and that the very thing which makes her useful in this war could also end up being her downfall, but so help me….
Samantha will be safe during her training. All four members of the O-Three will send security officials to guard her, I assured.
Arianna’s chin trembled, but she offered me a brief smile and resumed the discussion with her daughter.
Back to me now, thank you! Shelly shouted for my mind alone. How could you let this happen? You were supposed to let me talk to her first. I explicitly ordered you two to speak with Arianna on my behalf while I prepped Sammy.
Zane entered the conversation: Stop harassing my wife, Kilpatrick. I know what you asked of us. I apologize for disregarding your request. When one is in the position Naya and I are in, one must acquaint oneself with all the players on the field.
What? Shelly hid her frown from Sammy.
I needed to know some things about Samantha before you unleashed her on the unsuspecting universe, my husband sighed. Shells…there are ideas – potential fears – that never occur to you, because you are not the person who need fear them. And that is perfectly all right. But the rest of us cannot afford to ignore the awful possibilities. Naëtera and I have councilors and other officials to whom we must answer.
I came to his aid: You already had us lie to the other members of the O-Three to gain their support. As I promised Arianna, our sister nations have sent their best to protect your little friend. Can you truly blame us for investigating this uninitiated stranger, whom you ask us to trust?
Shelly shouted suddenly, “Arianna!” I declined to pay attention to the rest of her oral complaint.
When she finished orally speaking to Arianna and Samantha, she rejoined Zane and myself: I really hate it when you two are right. I’m still mad at you, though. You could have at least warned me, Zane.
Would it have done any good? I asked her honestly. You would have tried to stop him, and you know it, Shelly. I, too, wish I had been consulted prior to my husband’s actions, I paused to toss him a mild glare, but I still stand by them. We needed to know the extent of her power. Look, let us sit. I can tell this discussion will continue for a while longer.
You have a point there, Shelly conceded as she sat down. Someone will have to tell her just how powerful she is. I suppose I can do that bit.
She did just so a moment later. Her explanation included a brief reference to Alvis Frostbreath; a factoid upon which the young Miss Fahd latched. Samantha then shocked us by speaking orally after conversing telepathically for so long, “What did you mean by ‘he has millennia under his belt, so to speak’?”

It is time, I realized. I once more have the duty of recruiting a powerful young telepath into our ranks. This one will do…she shall do quite nicely. I like her fire and admire her spirit.
